TOPIC: The Phenomenon Of Salvation

SCRIPTURE: The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1)."

What a declaration of an amazing truth! The Lord is my light and my salvation. Did you observe that David didn’t call Him his saviour but his salvation? This is so powerful! When you declare that the Lord is your salvation, you’re saying in essence that you carry with you the phenomenon of salvation.

This means that before you come across any trouble, you already have the solution. Before any dilemma, you already have the victory because you have salvation. You cannot be a victim because the Lord is your salvation. David knew this and declared further, “… the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1).

There’s actually nothing to fear. In several places in the scriptures, the Lord instructs us not to fear. Why should you be afraid when the one who is in you is the “Alpha and Omega,” the beginning and the ending? (Revelation 1:8).

It doesn't matter what's happening in the world, Hebrews 7:25 says, “…he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him….” Don't allow fear in your life. Don't mix fear with your faith.

Is someone threatening you or terrorizing you? Be unperturbed. There's already a decree in place concerning you; you’re severed from perishing. You’re separated from everything that hurts or binds: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). This realization should put springs in your steps every day. Blessed be God!

Today's devotional reminds us that salvation is far more than being rescued from sin—it is the present reality of God's life, victory, and protection at work in every believer. Because the Lord Himself is our salvation, we face life's challenges from a position of victory, not fear. Every situation we encounter is met with the greater power of Christ already at work within us. As we remain conscious of this truth, faith replaces fear, courage overcomes anxiety, and we walk confidently in the assurance that God has already secured our triumph through Jesus Christ.

PRAYER/CONFESSION
 

Dear Father, I thank you for being my light and my salvation. I walk in the consciousness of this reality, knowing that I carry the answer before any challenge arises. Fear has no place in me, for my life is secured in you, and I live in victory always. I’m bold, unshaken, preserved and established in your salvation, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
