Nigerian gospel minister and songwriter Judikay has shared a powerful testimony about a challenging moment she experienced during the final weeks of her pregnancy with her second child.
Speaking during her daughter’s dedication service, the award-winning singer recounted how what began as a routine medical checkup quickly became an emotionally overwhelming experience. While in Canada at 34 weeks pregnant, Judikay underwent an ultrasound examination that reportedly revealed concerning findings about her unborn baby. According to her account, medical personnel raised questions about the baby's development and recommended additional testing.
Faced with the unexpected report, Judikay said she immediately contacted her husband to discuss the situation. Rather than allowing fear to take over, the couple chose to stand in faith and commit the matter to prayer. She revealed that they decided not to proceed with further testing and instead focused on trusting God throughout the remainder of the pregnancy.
Their story took a remarkable turn when their daughter was eventually delivered safely. Following the birth, doctors reportedly discovered that the baby's umbilical cord had been wrapped around her neck twice during pregnancy, a condition that can sometimes pose serious risks. Despite the challenges and concerns that surfaced during the pregnancy, both mother and child came through safely.
Reflecting on the experience, Judikay expressed gratitude to God for His faithfulness throughout the journey. The testimony carries even greater significance considering the family's long wait before welcoming their second child. Her story has since encouraged many believers, serving as a reminder of faith, perseverance, and hope in the midst of uncertain circumstances.
Known for inspiring millions through songs such as "Capable God," "More Than Gold," and "Daddy, You Too Much," Judikay continues to use both her music and personal experiences to strengthen faith and encourage people facing difficult seasons of life.
