Leading People To CHRIST! Becomes a More Effective Soul-winner With This Lovely Verse of the Bible.

Several times, in the war against sin, people get caught in the crossfire. Some of us are so overzealous about eradicating sin, which we don’t even have the power to do, that we destroy people in the process.

If you want to be an effective witness, scaring people by warning them 24/7 that they’re going to hell and God is not pleased, is not the way to go. This method will not necessarily compel them to change their ways.

The Bible says, “With loving kindness have I drawn thee” (Jeremiah 31:3, KJV). If you want to reach the lost, you can do it with the proper approach.

Let's examine Hebrews 12:14 (KJV) together.
Part 1.) “Follow peace with all men.”

Some Christians think that being holy comes at the expense of being kind, and vice versa. Not so! The fruit of the Spirit is kindness (Galatians 5:22). Christians are to live at peace with everyone—not just those in the body of Christ. Please realize that establishing a peaceful environment is not attained by looking at someone funny because they don’t live right, or commenting disdainfully on what they’re doing wrong every chance you get.

Be like Jesus; He came not to condemn the world, but to save it (John 3:17). A kind disposition and friendly spirit is not reserved for those in the church. It is also for those outside the four walls who may be learning all they know about God through the way you live and treat others.

Part 2.) “…and holiness.”

It is good to pursue peace as much as possible, but at the same time, don’t get so caught up in keeping everyone in good spirits that you lower your standard of holiness. Sin is sin, don’t get it twisted. Don’t compromise to make people comfortable, or water down the Word to make it more palatable.

We are not people-pleasers, and realistically speaking, some folks are not going to like us simply because our faith disagrees with their perspective—regardless of how nice we may be. But our ultimate role is to please God. Never forget that the Lord is our priority, and people if people don’t accept that, they’ll just have to dislike you. Because no man is great enough or important enough for you to abandon your faith to get on their “Besties” list.

Part 3.) “… without which no man shall see the Lord.”

We are to pursue the holiness which no man can see the Lord without. You’re not making it to heaven unless you are deemed holy by the Lord. Thankfully, our faith in Christ is credited to us as righteousness, which is what many of us forget when we are trying to convince others that God’s way is the best way.

Through our condemning words and scornful side glances, we are teaching people that they have to start out holy and righteous before the Lord can make them holy and righteous, which is mind-boggling! We need to start preaching the truth, which is that Christ died so that our sins would be forgiven and if you put your faith in Him, He alone will transform you.
If you truly desire to lead people to Christ, do it gently. Be peaceable, yet firm in what you believe. Never back down from the truth, and never forget the essence of the Gospel, which is love.

God gave up His Son out of love for us, our faith is counted as righteousness because God loves us and knows we could never live up to His standard on our own. You’ll catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.
